顯微鏡下的呢喃

　　《戰慄遊戲 Misery》故事是在說一名作家保羅Paul隱居在克羅拉多山上寫完最後一本暢銷系列小說《米雪莉 Misery》，結果要回程中碰上了暴風雪，於是整車翻滾到山崖旁，身受重傷的保羅Paul恰巧碰上好心的護士安妮Annie照顧，在安妮細心地照顧下，保羅逐漸醒來，安妮也自稱是保羅的頭號粉絲，但安妮得知《米雪莉 Misery》主角在最後被賜死後，她情緒不穩定的病態讓兩人相處的模式一切都變調了，保羅該如何脫離這場時時刻刻伴君如伴虎的遊戲當中？

　　不得不說，看史蒂芬金Stephen King的作品改編的電影都會有種震撼力，除了是相當出色的恐怖懸疑劇本之外，而且每次看完都能挖掘人性各種陰暗面，不管是控制慾, 霸凌, 慾望, 弒親, 心理變態, 泯滅人心當機立斷等等因各種因素而促成的，在先前我看過《魔女嘉莉 Carrie》《刺激1995 The Shawshanke Redemption》和相當近期的《迷魂驚霧 The Mist》等等，雖然不多，但震撼力足夠讓我對史蒂芬金的故事選材和邏輯推理感到相當敬佩，如果有時間我會想把他改編全系列的電影看完。因為聽聞許多網友對這部片佳評如潮，而且我本身也喜歡看這種沒有鬼但恐怖氣氛營造的很好的電影類型，前幾天總算有時間看了這部《戰慄遊戲 Misery》，這部也讓凱西貝茲 Kathy Bates 拿上生涯第一座（也可能是唯一一座）奧斯卡最佳女主角，不過我覺得因這部拿獎真的夠值了，畢竟歷屆奧斯卡影后有哪個是演反派腳色或者恐怖片的腳色拿獎的？真的是史無前例。

　這部片實在是可圈可點，從一開始溫馨護士的鋪成，到後面一層一層揭露著披著羊皮的狼的面紗，恐懼氣氛的凝聚可是高潮迭起，重心都環繞在保羅的那一間房間當中，門在戲中扮演著很重要的腳色，每一次開門都帶給了觀眾雞皮疙瘩的恐懼。兩位的演技則真的是不在話下，當安妮將保羅的腳打斷時，保羅演出痛苦萬分的模樣，讓觀眾都能夠充分感受到那痛楚（痛到連我自己都想摸摸我的腳有沒有斷），而凱西演技更為精湛，他把安妮這瘋婆子的情緒化爆發詮釋的淋淋盡致，這腳色演不好真的會變成在搞笑。在劇情上的安排是無話可說，但撇開劇情討論，你覺得史蒂芬金是想給我們一個什麼啟示（我倒覺得是「諷刺」）？

我們在螢幕前觀看的安妮，心想只是一個偽善的瘋子，但安妮除了它本身情緒化濃烈的關係，這個腳色實質上是在諷刺從古至今的瘋狂粉絲（以前講「追星族」）的激烈舉動，有些粉絲會為了自己的偶像傾家蕩產（包下專輯, 周邊商品甚至出高價買演唱會門票），有些粉絲會為了自己心愛的偶像而燒炭自殺（我想到之前Paula Abdul歌迷事件就是如此），觀看後這部片如同剝筍般，一再一再地投射著我們心中也長存著一位熱衷的粉絲，不論是藝術, 政治和宗教等等都是一樣，警戒著人們心中不會致癡迷的地步。

再者，其實更重要的警示，其實就在保羅最後燒掉安尼所要求改寫《米雪莉 Misery》另一個版本的舉動，也暗示著「思想是不容許被人綁架的」，若是所有的童話故事都能有美好的結局，那麼我們對於故事中的迂迴轉折還有什麼好期待，既便知道主角出身卑微，他肯努力，最後一定會成功，然後壞蛋遲早都會被抓，這樣的戲雖然勵志卻毫無思想價值可言，畢竟最後的結局都是一樣。我記得史蒂芬金的《迷魂驚霧 The Mist》結局其實只有寫到主角一行人困在車上，但電影版的結局給予不同的結局當時卻引起了兩極的評價，如果作家/編劇家寫得都照普羅大眾所期望的結局去寫，那麼思想和創意就通通沒有必要性了，因為我們期待的都是作家獨到的安排和思想傳授，而不是一味的逢迎諂媚大眾的口味，說難聽一點，那其實只是一種手段而已。法國的思想家伏爾泰就曾說「我雖然不同意你的觀點，但我誓死捍衛你說話的權利」其實就是一樣的道理。

 這部電影也其實讓我想到一首歌，Sara Bareilles的「Love Song」實際上和歌名是背道而馳，Sara當時是不滿公司一直要求他寫首芭樂的情歌，於是把所有的情緒堆疊就真的寫了首「情歌 Love Song」，歌詞充滿了批判力道的抱怨，但是又是以芭樂的輕快歌曲悠揚唱出，這種諷刺，我覺得對於公司的反擊有如保羅燒書的舉動，不過當時這首歌受眾矚目也成功暢銷專輯和單曲，所以說「迎合只是一種手段」，但真正的藝術家會更高明地將真諦隱喻其中，最後，看完死氣沉沉的條教理念，就來首輕快的歌曲作結束吧。
